I’ve downloaded the theme tune to the seminal kids TV program Rainbow, remember that? Life was so simple wasn’t it? The theme tune even has a guitar solo and slow verses as well as a lovely rounded mono sound to add to the joyous melody.
Whilst looking for it I stumbled across an American website by these guys who re-enact battles from the Vietnam war. There?s tons of photos of them dressed up in authentic combat gear, weapons and armoured vehicles (of course!), camping out in Texan forests. The sight of their truly happy, chubby, grinning faces made me think that it’s people like that who make our often sad world, occasionally hilarious.
